This is just a reminder that we have panto auditions coming up on the 7^th July (2pm) and 10^th July (7.30pm) in St Faith’s Church. This is for the speaking parts, and not the Chorus. Please choose a character to audition for and prepare a couple of pages (please message me for a copy of the script). Also, be ready to sing a short song – Happy Birthday will suffice.

The show this year will be slightly different from what we’ve done before. We will be performing on a specially built stage in the church rather than at the Watermans, and the dates are different. We may have the Dress Rehearsal on Sunday 24^th November and perhaps only a couple of rehearsals during the following week before the show. We are planning to do TWO shows on Saturday 30^th November ( 2.30pm/7.30pm) and TWO shows on Sunday 1^st December (approx. 1pm/5.30pm). This means we would finish at about 8/8.30pm on Sunday, so hopefully not too late for people. These timings still have to be agreed, so may not look exactly like this, but you get the general idea. Please check you will be available for these dates before you audition.

Rehearsals start at 2.15pm on Sunday 1^st September in St Faith’s hall. The other important thing to note is that midweek rehearsals for the main cast will be on THURSDAY evenings and not Wednesdays this time, so please bear this in mind.

It would be very helpful to know if you are thinking of being in the panto this year, so please get back to me asap.

Thank you to everyone who came to see The Titfield Thunderbolt earlier this month – we really loved it and hope you did too. Please check out our photos on the Gallery page. Also, a massive thank you also to all those who worked on and supported the prodution – what a team! Particular thanks goes to JPM Scenery for building us a fantatic set, for Dave Fairweather for providing us with sound equipment ( as well as his skilful self), and Kingston College for lending us the lights. This gentle and heartwarming play is based on a popular Ealing Comedy film, and centres around the community of Titfield who pull together to run their branch line after threats of closure, and fight off the competition of a rival bus company. Staged imaginatively inside the church, we are recreating a train station of the early 1950s and may even have our very own train! So don’t miss out!

An hilarious send up of the classic 1940s BBC radio serial, where intrepid sleuth Dick Barton faces his arch-enemies Baron Scarheart and Marta Heartburn in a fiendish plot to disrupt the tea supply to Britain, and again aims to rid the world of evil in the name of decency and patriotism. Please come, and tell all your friends, it’s going to be a very funny show!

We always welcome new members, whether you want to be on the stage or as part of the back stage crew. Our members range from the age of 5 years to 75, and we are a very friendly and welcoming group, so don’t be shy to come along. We put on two shows a year – a spring production in May/June and a pantomime in November, along with other fundraising events. We rehearse in various places around Brentford on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Annual membership is £30 adults/£15 children.

Our next spring production starts rehearsing in January 2022 and we will cast our pantomime in June/July. If you are interested in taking part in either of these, please contact us
